Job summary

Amazon Seattle is seeking a Security Engineer for Platform Security to help design and operate scalable security controls across our services. You will independently solve complex security problems, develop tooling to detect and prevent issues, and drive security best practices across teams.

The role requires 2+ years in web security, a degree in Engineering or CS, and experience with AWS, SDLC security activities, and scripting languages.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of web protocols, common security attacks, and remediation experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience with coding/scripting in one or more languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PowerShell).

Responsibilities

• Independently solve security problems that require novel methods or approaches.
• Develop solutions to detect / prevent security issues at scale.
• Development of security automation tools.
• Influence your team’s and partners’ process, priorities, and choices to improve outcomes.

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
