Job summary

JPMorganChase in Wilmington, Delaware, is seeking a Security Engineer III to join a high-performing Cybersecurity & Technology Controls team. You will contribute as a core technical member, delivering secure software solutions and helping build trusted, scalable technology across multiple platforms.

You will design, implement, and troubleshoot code in modern languages, support incident response, drive automation, and ensure compliance with security standards and controls within an agile DevOps

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficient in coding in one or more modern programming languages (Python, Java/Spring Boot, etc.) and experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a corporate environment.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline.
• Basic knowledge of industry-wide technology trends, security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security.
• Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practicesStrong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language and addresses basic code quality issues.

• Respond to incidents, assist in troubleshooting, and implement fixes to restore platform stability.
• Collaborate with other engineers and teams to enhance platform performance, reliability, and resiliency.
