Job summary

Paragon Technology is seeking a Security Engineer II to support USTRANSCOM under the PEO-T contract at Scott AFB, IL. Qualifications

• US Citizenship with DoW Secret clearance or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or IT.
• Active IAM II Certification in Good Standing (examples: CISSP, CISM, GIAC GSLC).
• 1+ years of Security Engineering experience as an ISSO/ISSM/SCA or Cyber Security Analyst/Engineer.
• Experience with DoW RMF implementation and system authorization documentation.
• Experience using eMASS, ACAS/Nessus, and DISA STIGs/SRGs.

Responsibilities

• Review evolving NIST requirements to support risk assessment tied to system requirements.
• Develop specifications to mitigate cybersecurity deficiencies and ensure secure coding practices and STIG/SRG implementation.
• Collaborate with government customers to develop POA&Ms and support risk acceptance activities.
• Design and implement solutions to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information.
• Provide technical evaluations of IT systems and support security improvements.
• Assist in contingency planning to maintain protection levels and timeliness.
