Amazon Healthcare Security's HealthSec team seeks a Security Engineer II to protect Amazon One Medical's network and infrastructure. As a team lead you will assess risks, craft mitigations, and integrate controls into evolving systems.

You will work with security engineers and product teams to safeguard networks, devices, and workflows powering Amazon's healthcare operations, while guiding peers and driving security automation and documentation efforts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of programming experience in languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, or C++
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
• Experience applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques or equivalent

Amazon Healthcare Security's (HealthSec) team is hiring a Security Engineer II to protect Amazon One Medical's network infrastructure. As a team lead you will assess security risks, develop mitigation strategies, and integrate security controls into rapidly evolving operational systems.

Working closely with security engineers and product teams, you will safeguard the networks, devices, and workflows that power Amazon's healthcare operations.

Key job responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar object oriented language experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
• Experience applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of any combination of the following: threat modeling experience, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration and network security experience
• Experience with AWS products and services

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
