Job summary

FastTek is seeking an IT Security Specialist in Pontiac, Michigan to administer secure Windows, Linux, VMware and cloud infrastructure in a hybrid environment. You will drive vulnerability management, patch coordination, and security hardening across platforms, using Tanium or similar tools to detect and remediate risks.

You will develop automation in PowerShell, Bash or Python to streamline patching, remediation and reporting, while supporting audits and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience securing Windows and Linux environments.
• Vulnerability management, remediation tracking and patching.
• Familiarity with virtualization and cloud platforms.
• Automation scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python.
• Understanding of security baselines and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows, Linux, VMware, and cloud infrastructure with security in mind.
• Identify, prioritize, track, and remediate vulnerabilities across servers and VMs.
• Coordinate OS and infrastructure patching and ensure compliance.
• Assess configurations against security standards and support audits.
• Develop automation scripts to patch, remediate and report findings.
• Document configurations and maintain incident/change records.
