Job summary

Identify Security in Miami, FL is seeking an experienced Security Engineer with 5+ years of engineering and architecture experience to support complex enterprise technology initiatives.

You will work across applications, infrastructure, cloud, and AI technologies to design secure solutions, evaluate architectures, and implement practical controls.

This is a long-term contract with potential to convert to direct hire; four days onsite per week; U.S. citizens or green card holders only.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional engineering experience in software, systems, infrastructure, cloud, or related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated architecture experience—designing, integrating, or improving technical systems.
• Knowledge of AI technologies and AI-enabled applications and security implications.
• Ability to understand technical dependencies and explain engineering decisions and tradeoffs.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering and security teams.
• Ability to work onsite in Miami four days per week.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate technical architectures and identify security risks, design gaps, and integration challenges.
• Apply engineering and architectural judgment to system design, implementation, and security decisions.

About the Opportunity

Identify Security is seeking an experienced Security Engineer with 5+ years of engineering experience, demonstrated architecture experience, and knowledge of AI technologies to support complex enterprise technology initiatives.

We're looking for someone who understands how systems are designed, engineered, integrated, and secured and can apply that knowledge to real-world technical challenges.

The right person has a strong engineering foundation, can think architecturally, understands emerging AI technologies, and can work effectively across technical teams to move solutions forward.

You do not need to hold a formal architect title or have specialized AI security experience. What matters is your ability to understand complex technical environments and translate technical challenges into practical solutions.

What You'll Do

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional engineering experience in software, systems, infrastructure, cloud, platform, security, or a related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated architecture experience, including designing, integrating, or materially improving technical systems.
• Knowledge of AI technologies, including an understanding of AI-enabled applications, capabilities, and potential security implications.
• Ability to understand technical dependencies, integrations, and how different enterprise systems interact.Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to explain engineering decisions and implementation tradeoffs.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering and security teams.
• Ability to work onsite in Miami four days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

The following experience is valuable but not required:

• AWS, Azure, GCP, or cloud architecture
• Identity and access management, authentication, and authorization
• Network engineering and security architecture
• DevSecOps, CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure as code
• AI security, generative AI, AI agents, or agentic AI
• Enterprise architecture and distributed systems
• Security technology evaluations and implementation
