Job summary

Figure is seeking a Security Engineer to join the Security & Privacy team in San Jose. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing detection and response tooling and processes.

Responsibilities include centralized logging, alerting, threat hunting, and incident response across cloud and on-prem environments, with a strong emphasis on BeyondCorp and collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/IS or equivalent experience
• 6+ years in security monitoring or related role
• Experience in detection, incident response, and threat hunting
• Collaborative experience with internal and external stakeholders
• Practical experience with BeyondCorp model and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)

Responsibilities

• Design, pilot, and implement central logging and alerting systems to detect malicious activity
• Develop tools and automation to improve threat hunting and incident response
• Investigate events from the alerting pipeline and drive response during active incidents
• Identify and analyze threat intelligence on adversary TTPs for APTs and cybercrime
