Job summary

Deepgram is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer to design and automate security controls across bare-metal fleets and AWS, with strong emphasis on host hardening, patch and vulnerability management, and secure CI/CD practices.

You will own container security, penetration testing lifecycles, audit-ready evidence for ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and SOC 2, and leverage AI tools to enhance security at scale while collaborating with a small, high-trust team.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in security engineering or infrastructure engineering with a security focus that owns production controls.
• Deep Linux: large fleet hardening, SSH, systemd, kernel updates, host firewalls.
• Ansible at fleet scale: automate first, document second.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and maintain security controls across bare-metal and AWS footprint.
• Own configuration management and host hardening as code with Ansible.
• Secure containerized workloads: Docker pipelines, registry scanning, runtime hardening.
