Job summary

asobbi is seeking a Senior Production Security Engineer to join a fast-growing AI infrastructure company. This remote role (US) focuses on embedding security within engineering, not policy creation, and offers the chance to design and implement security across production systems.

You will own the security roadmap, partner with senior engineers, and drive security across Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and identity management while building automation and secure practices into platform design.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in production security engineering or equivalent.
• Strong background securing cloud or multi-tenant infrastructure.
• Deep experience with secrets management, PKI and identity platforms.
• Excellent Linux systems knowledge.
• Strong networking and network security fundamentals.
• Experience securing Kubernetes, cloud IAM or infrastructure-as-code environments.
• Experience building automation through CI/CD and security tooling.

Senior Production Security Engineer | Remote (US)

Overview

We’re partnering with a rapidly growing AI infrastructure company that’s building the next generation of high-performance compute platforms for large-scale AI workloads. As demand for secure AI infrastructure continues to accelerate, they’re investing heavily in building a security function that’s embedded within engineering rather than operating as a separate compliance team.

This is one of the first dedicated security hires and offers the opportunity to shape the company’s long-term security strategy from the ground up. You’ll work alongside senior infrastructure, platform and cloud engineers, identifying real-world risks, designing practical solutions and implementing them yourself.

The Opportunity

• Become one of the first dedicated security engineers in a rapidly scaling AI infrastructure business.

The Role

This is a hands-on engineering position for someone who enjoys building secure platforms rather than writing policies. You’ll identify security risks across production infrastructure, define technical solutions and implement them through software, automation and infrastructure improvements.

You’ll also play a key role in establishing the company’s long-term security function and engineering culture.

Nice to Have

• Experience building a security function from scratch.
• AI infrastructure, GPU cluster or HPC experience.
• Familiarity with InfiniBand or other high-performance networking technologies.
• Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001 or similar frameworks.
• Experience supporting highly regulated or security-sensitive environments.
