Job summary

Talanto is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer to translate security and compliance requirements into practical solutions. The role focuses on cloud, application, and customer-facing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

You will partner with Engineering to design and implement security controls across AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and our platform. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in security, strong AWS security experience, and a track record with SOC 2 / ISO audits.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in security engineering or related role.
  • Hands-on experience securing AWS environments.
  • Proficient with AWS security services: IAM, VPC, KMS, WAF, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Macie.
  • Knowledge of IAM, encryption standards, cloud infrastructure, and security tooling.
  • Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and workflows.
  • Experience supporting SOC 2 and ISO audits.
  • Experience leading security reviews with enterprise customers.

Who you are:

You are a hands-on Security Engineer who can translate security and compliance requirements into practical technical solutions. You communicate clearly with technical and nontechnical audiences and enjoy working across teams. You are comfortable balancing cloud security, application security, compliance, and customer-facing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Partner with Engineering to design, implement, and improve security controls across •••••••••• ’s software, application architecture, and AWS infrastructure.
  • Strengthen security monitoring, detection, and incident response capabilities.
  • Integrate security controls into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and software development workflows.
  • Support compliance efforts, including SOC 2 and ISO audits.
  • Lead the technical portions of enterprise customer security reviews and architecture discussions.
  • Develop deep knowledge of •••••••••• ’s software and advise Sales and Legal on customer security questions.
  • Clearly communicate security risks, requirements, and recommendations to technical teams, business partners, and customers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve security and compliance controls across the product and infrastructure.

What you bring to the role:

  • Three or more years of experience in security engineering, information security, compliance, or a related role.
  • Must have hands-on experience securing AWS environments.
  • Experience with AWS security services such as: Identity and Access Management, Virtual Private Cloud, Key Management Service, Web Application Firewall, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and Macie.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management, encryption standards, cloud infrastructure, and security tooling.
  • Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and software development workflows.
  • Experience supporting SOC 2 and/or ISO audits.
  • Experience supporting application security, cloud security, or incident response programs.
  • Experience participating in customer security reviews and explaining technical concepts to different audiences.
  • Experience leading technical security or architecture discussions with enterprise customers.
  • Strong analytical, project management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • A collaborative and adaptable approach, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
