Job summary

Voto Consulting LLC in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a hands-on Python full-stack developer with a security focus. You will design and build secure, scalable solutions spanning UI, APIs, and backend services, applying security principles across the stack and development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings 6–9 years in software development, strong Python skills, and experience with IAM, cloud platforms, and containerized deployments using Docker/Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 6-9 years of software development experience.
• Strong Python proficiency and production backend experience.
• Full-stack development across front-end, backend, APIs, databases, and deployment.
• Experience translating security requirements into scalable technical solutions and controls.
• Experience with backend and front-end frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, Django, React, Angular, or Vue.
• Strong understanding of IAM, including authentication, authorization, RBAC/ABAC, OAuth/OIDC, SSO, and federation.
• Experience integrating with identity and security platforms such as Okta, Entra ID, Auth0, or similar.
• Experience designing and securing RESTful APIs and system integrations.
• Understanding of secure application design, including least privilege, secrets management, data protection, and defense in depth.
• Experience building security tooling and automation to enforce controls, integrate systems, analyze data, or streamline operations.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and secure data-access patterns.
• Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP, including deployment, identity, secrets, logging, and security controls.
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix environments, including troubleshooting, logging, service management, and scripting.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD for deploying and operating applications.
• Proficiency with Git, code review, testing, and modern software engineering practices.
• Ability to work with security telemetry, logs, APIs, and structured data for analysis and automation.
• Exposure to pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, or similar libraries for data processing and experimentation.
• Familiarity with generative AI/LLMs, including prompt design, API integration, output evaluation, and security considerations.
