Elev8 in Downtown Columbia, MO is seeking professional, confident Nightclub Security / Door Hosts for part-time shifts. As the first and last point of contact, you will help create a welcoming, safe environment while enforcing policies and responding to incidents.

Ideal candidates are calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and reliable. You will work closely with bartenders, servers, and management to maintain order, check IDs, and support opening/closing procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous security, door host, military, law enforcement, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests at the entrance and provide a professional first impression.
• Verify IDs and ensure compliance with Missouri alcohol laws and company policies.
• Monitor guest behavior and maintain a safe, respectful environment throughout the venue.
• De-escalate conflicts professionally and resolve situations before they escalate.
• Enforce club policies regarding entry, capacity, dress code, and guest conduct.
• Work closely with bartenders, servers, managers, and local authorities when necessary.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and VIP areas throughout the night.
• Complete incident reports and communicate important information to management.
