Job summary

Indigo Sky Casino Wyandotte is seeking a Security Manager with at least 5 years in security leadership within casino or hospitality settings. You will supervise security personnel, manage budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain equipment and procedures to protect guests and staff.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field, strong Excel and database skills, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Law or related field or equivalent education and experience.
• 5+ years progressive security management experience, preferably in casino or hospitality operations.
• Must include Excel and skills in database management and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Develops, administers, and monitors departmental budget, labor hours and overtime costs.
• Creates, updates and enforces SOPs and P&Ps.
• Trains, schedules, evaluates the security manager.
• Oversees access control systems, alarm monitoring and physical patrol of the properties.
• Ensures adherence to tribal gaming ordinances and internal control standards.
• Manages self-exclusion lists, ejections, and trespass notices with regulators.
• Assures all security equipment is maintained and working.
• Advises on security and safety matters to other directors.
• Provide leadership to security staff including interviewing, hiring, coaching and disciplining.
• Fosters cooperation and communication with all departments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develops, administers, and monitors the annual departmental budget, labor hours and overtime costs
• Creates, updates and enforces SOP’s and P&P’s.
• Trains, schedules, evaluates the security manager

• Ensures adherence to tribal gaming ordinances and internal control minimum standards.
• Manages self-exclusion lists, ejections, and trespass notices in coordination with gaming regulators.
• Ensures that all security equipment is accounted for, maintained and working properly.
• Serves as an advisor on security and safety matters to other directors.
• Perform all functions of personnel within span of control, as needed.
• Assure an environment which emphasizes cooperation, communication, and teamwork with all departments.
• Must maintain reasonable accessibility by phone for business needs.
• Complete job duties with minimal supervision, maintain acceptable attendance, and use appropriate judgement and decision-making skills.
• Support current law and policy to provide a work environment free from illegal and discriminatory behavior.
• Job Duties, tasks, work hours, work requirements, and other duties assigned may be added or changed at any time.
• Provide management, direction and leadership to security department staff but not limited to: interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, counseling and discharging.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Law or Related Field or equivalent education and experience.

EXPERIENCE:

5 or more years of progressive security management experience, with specific background in casino or hospitality operations. Computer skills in Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and skills in database management and record keeping.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:

Be able to obtain/maintain Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma gaming license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to maneuver in the casino and routinely lift up 25 pounds and occasionally as much as 60 pounds. Must be able to stand or walk for a minimum of 8 hours and maneuver in or outside the casino. Visual acuity to observe and react to handle internal and external customer complaints or questions. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to bend, kneel, twist and stretch/reach above head. Have good dexterity in fingers

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

We maintain an alcohol/drug-free workplace. Work in casino operations containing second hand smoke with high noise level and bright lights. Must be able and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
