Job summary

Anduril Industries is looking for a skilled Security Data Engineer to enhance the security visibility of its cutting-edge defense technology. In this role, you will architect and implement log aggregation pipelines, contribute to the development of a security data lake, and design ETL processes for security data.

The ideal candidate will have experience with data lake architectures, ETL processes, and programming in languages such as Go or Java. Eligibility for a U.S. TS clearance is mandatory. This position offers a competitive salary range between $129,000 and $220,000.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril's Information Security team is looking for a security data engineer to focus on building visibility across Anduril to protect the infrastructure around our advanced defense technology products. This is a role with wide berth that will have the latitude to design and implement cutting edge data pipelines to support all internal security teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Architect and implement log aggregation pipelines for Anduril infrastructure and applications
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of a security data lake for centralized security data management
• Design and implement ETL processes for security data ingestion, transformation, and storageCollaborate with teams to establish best practices for data usage (e.g., search functionality)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Familiarity with data lake architectures and best practices for security data management
• Experience with ETL tools and processes for large-scale data environments (Spark, DuckDB, etc)
• Strong programming skills in one or more general‑purpose languages (Go, Rust, Java/Scala, etc.)
• Familiarity with one or more infrastructure as code languages (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK, Pulumi) in a production capacity
• Ability to develop and maintain systems in cloud environments and familiarity with deploying code through CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of complex projects
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience building high-volume log ingestion and storage pipelines
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP security ecosystems and tooling
• Experience with supporting multiple access patterns for data stored in various formats (using tools other than Splunk)
• Experience with open tables formats like Iceberg or Delta Lake

US Salary Range

$129,000 – $220,000 USD
