Armed Security Custom Protection Officer Needed in Pittsburgh - Baum Blvd. - PA Act 235 Certification Required PRIOR to Employment

Employment Type: Full-Time – $23.00 / Hour

Schedule: Flex Officers scheduled up to 40 hours per week on any shift/day

Compensation: AUS OFFICERS GET PAID WEEKLY!

Role Summary: Allied Universal® is hiring a Custom Protection Officer (CPO) Flex Officer. The CPO Flex Officer will conduct armed and/or unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols (interior and/or exterior). Duties include control access and egress; monitor CCTV and alarm systems; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct. The officer may work at various assignments and may be called to irregular shifts with little to no advance notice.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property is conducted within client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
• Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
• Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders

Qualifications (Must Have)

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess one or more of the following
• Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security or related combat roles
• Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy or verified work experience in law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
• Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
• A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
• Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
• Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only
• Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
