Job summary

Rampant Technologies is seeking a mid-level Security Control Assessor to join our team in Oak Ridge, TN. This role contributes to protecting critical infrastructure and data within the Y-12 National Security Complex, applying cybersecurity principles, threat analysis, and risk mitigation strategies.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of federal security requirements, experience with NIST frameworks, and an active Q clearance (TS/SCI also accepted).

Qualifications

• Experience in cybersecurity analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, 800-37, CNSSI 1253, risk management frameworks, and other relevant cybersecurity policies and standards.
• Proven ability to analyze and mitigate cybersecurity threats and incidents.
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools, network traffic analysis, and security audits.
• Demonstrated experience with change management; assessing and monitoring of proposed system changes to security posture.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrates professionalism, patience, and diplomacy in interactions with colleagues, customers, and partners.
• Self-starter who shows initiative without waiting to be directed.
• Strong desire to learn and grow both technically and professionally.
