Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Security Control Assessor (SCA) I to conduct comprehensive assessments of management, operational, and technical security controls in IS environments to determine effectiveness and compliance with RMF and JSIG guidance.

The role includes collateral, SCI, and SAP activities, advising key security stakeholders, preparing SAR/POA&M, and supporting government inspections and incident response.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in SAP, SCI or Collateral Information Systems (IS) Security.
• Prior performance in the role of ISSO and ISSM.
• 9+ years related experience; OR 5+ years related experience AND Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline OR Associate’s degree + 2 years’ experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and evaluation of IS security program policy.
• Assess ISs using RMF methodology per JSIG guidance.
• Advise ISO/IDO/PSO/DAO on assessment issues.
• Evaluate Authorization packages and provide AO/DAO recommendations.
• Identify threats and determine required safeguards.
• Prepare SAR and POA&M for authorization boundaries.
• Assist government inspections and security incident response.
