Comstock is seeking a Security Officer: Concierge to manage the front desk at its Silver Spring office building. The role supports client and visitor experience while enforcing company policies.

This night shift (11pm-7am) requires strong customer service, reliability, and the ability to handle safety reporting, incident investigations, and daily access control tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer-service related job.
• Valid driver's license without major violations.
• Certified security professional (VA Unarmed Security Officer/Courier, aka DCJS) by the state of Virginia or will be required to obtain certification within 60 days of start /transfer date.
• Outgoing personality with ability to relate to diverse group of people and build/ maintain strong relationships.
• Flexibility to work after hours and weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage front desk and access control for guests, tenants, and vendors.
• Provide elevator assistance and door assistance and deliver customer service to clients, customers, and visitors.
• Prepare daily activity reports, access control reports, and incident reports.
• Observe and report safety concerns; patrol common areas.

• Resolve customer concerns escalated to front-line staff; complete incident forms and investigations.

Position Description

The Security Officer: Concierge is responsible for the daily management of the front desk at its located office building lobby. This position delivers company, client, and customer expectations by ensuring the facility is operating in accordance with company policy and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Access c ontrol for guests, tenants, and vendors.
• Provide elevator assistance and door assistance to all guests.
• Provide customer service and assistance to clients, customers, and visitors.
• Daily activity report , access control reports, and incident reports daily.
• Observation and reporting of all safety concerns.
• Patrol the common areas .
• Directly oversees all day-to-day activities associated with opening, managing, and closing the facility .
• Ensures the facility’s safety and security for guests and employees by reviewing maintenance checklists and conducting periodic safety audits as directed by the company’s Safety Manual .
• Resolves customer concerns that are escalated to his/her attention by the facility’s front-line associates .
• Completes Incident Forms and conducts incident investigations as directed by his/her Senior Operations Manager and/or the Corporate Office .
• Consistently and effectively uses software applications necessary to record and track work.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work through lunches (paid) on a constistent basis unless advance arrangements made in accordance with division/department policies.

At Comstock, it is not typical for a new hire to start at or near the top of the posted range. Compensation is determined based on the unique circumstances of each candidate.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Any award under this program is subject to its rules and may depend on individual and organizational performance.
