Job summary

Obsidian Solutions Group is seeking a Computer/Network Engineer to support the Bureau of Diplomatic Security. The role requires evaluating technologies, designing network and video infrastructure, and testing vulnerabilities in lab environments.

Candidates must hold Interim Top-Secret clearance eligibility and be able to obtain final TS/SCI access. Strong communication and Windows/Linux scripting skills are essential, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Interim Top-Secret clearance with ability to obtain final TS and SCI access.
• Must be eligible for and able to obtain required security clearances.
• Has 5 years of experience with a master’s degree or 10+ years with a bachelor’s in CS/Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience configuring, designing, and maintaining Windows servers and network software components in lab environments.
• Proficient with Windows, Linux/macOS scripting and multiple programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new technologies and security vulnerabilities for networks and software.
• Plan policies and guidelines for state‑of‑the‑art equipment adoption.
• Test vulnerabilities in software, devices, and networks.
• Design and deploy LAN, network, and video infrastructure; analyze architectures for performance and security.
• Document testing procedures and results for senior leadership; report recommendations.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues under tight deadlines; assist with emergent tech reviews.
