Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Driver for its Ogden, UT depot to operate gas- or diesel-powered trucks, including hazmat transport, on- and off-road within and around government installations. You will receive daily assignments, secure loads, perform inspections, perform basic maintenance, and assist in loading/unloading while maintaining safety standards.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, at least six months of relevant experience, a valid operator’s license, the ability to obtain a Secret

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with minimum six months general experience.
• Must have valid operator’s license to use any equipment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
• Must meet all Federal and State requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks less than 3000 lbs. to destination for pick-up and delivery based on instructions or directions received and by using maps.
• Drive vehicles both on and off of government installations and in light to heavy traffic conditions.
• Transport HAZMAT as necessary in performance of depot mission.
• Inspect truck for defects before and after trips.
• Monitor vehicle during operation and report maintenance/repair requirements to Dispatcher.
• Secures loads being transported to ensure safe and undamaged arrival at destination.
• Report and receive direction via radio or cellular phone.
• Assist in loading and unloading of material transported.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance adjustments to truck.
• Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
