Job summary

Leidos is looking for highly skilled Linguists, Translators, and Interpreters to support mission requirements in Chantilly, Virginia. This opportunity is part of a pipeline requisition for potential future positions.

The selected candidates will provide professional-level linguistic support across various activities including translation and interpretation. They will be responsible for maintaining high standards in linguistic tasks and will be provided support for achieving required security clearances.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6-10 years with a Master's degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional experience in translation, interpretation, or transcription.
• Strong understanding of regional dialects and language variations.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional-level linguistic support across translation, interpretation, transcription, and gisting activities.
• Translate written materials accurately.
• Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation as required.

Skills

Professional interpretation skills

Strong written and verbal communication in English and target languages

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Ability to perform written and spoken language tasks at a professional level
