Job summary

Peraton is seeking a detail-oriented IT Asset Manager to support a federal government customer. You will oversee enterprise asset lifecycle operations, asset tracking systems, and governance across multiple locations and environments.

The role requires experience with Jira Service Management, asset management platforms, and workflow automation, plus strong collaboration and documentation skills. Active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 5 years experience, Master's with 3 years experience, PhD with 0 years, HS Diploma with 9 years experience.
Experience managing enterprise asset tracking systems for distributed environments.
Hands-on experience with Jira Service Management (JSM), asset management platforms, workflow automation, inventory tracking, and ticketing systems.
Experience designing or maintaining asset management schemas, lifecycle workflows, and reporting processes.
Strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle management principles and operational governance.
Experience supporting procurement coordination, asset forecasting, and inventory reconciliation.
Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills with high attention to detail.
Experience developing reports, dashboards, and operational metrics for leadership and compliance.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-team coordination.
Active TS/SCI or Q/SCI clearance

Responsibilities

Lead deployment, administration, and continuous improvement of enterprise IT asset tracking systems across multiple locations and environments.
Develop and maintain asset management processes covering procurement, deployment, assignment, transfer, maintenance, refresh, and disposal.
Design and maintain asset management schemas, workflows, and ticketing integrations for accurate tracking.
Configure Jira-based asset tracking workflows and automation to streamline lifecycle management and reporting.
Implement Jira service management automation for asset intake, approvals, transfers, audits, refresh cycles, and decommissioning.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with federal asset accountability regulations.
Coordinate with procurement, finance, and IT leadership to support purchasing strategies and cost optimization.
Work with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and desktop support teams to ensure asset deployment, recovery, and reconciliation.
Conduct periodic asset audits, reconciliation, and compliance reviews across sites.
Develop dashboards and reports to monitor utilization, lifecycle status, and inventory trends.
Support forecasting, lifecycle planning, and hardware refresh initiatives.
Identify opportunities to reduce overhead and standardize processes.
Train and supervise junior analysts in inventory tracking and reporting.
