Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Microelectronics Engineer to design and refine embedded systems, develop tools for digital investigations, and troubleshoot electronics in a fast-paced lab setting. The role requires hands-on hardware expertise, experience with flash memory, and strong programming skills in C/C++/Python/Java, plus a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing embedded systems or electronics utilizing programmable microcontrollers or FPGAs, including software
• Experience with flash memory technology, including reading and programming flash memory, such as NAND flash, eMMC, or UFS
• Experience working in an engineering laboratory environment, including with common lab equipment such as signal generators, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and soldering equipment
• Experience with programming languages, such as C, C++, Java, or Python
• Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in hardware engineering, Master’s degree and 1+ years of experience in hardware engineering, OR 10+ years of experience in hardware engineering in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with law enforcement by deploying digital investigative tools for lawful investigations
• Develop, refine, and execute new tools and techniques for recovering digital evidence
• Troubleshoot and repair damaged electronics and perform in-circuit debugging and testing
• Document findings with procedures and maintain detailed records
