Job summary

Peraton in Herndon, VA is seeking a Data Scientist to join the DoS CS Modernization program. You will develop predictive analytics, model development, and data science tooling to support enterprise analytics initiatives, working with enterprise architects, cloud engineers, and product leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with data science focus.
• Experience communicating complex data findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience applying statistical methods and ML techniques to predictive and prescriptive models.
• Proficiency with Python, R, and/or Scala.

Responsibilities

• Develop data analytics products, AI services, and enterprise data science capabilities.
• Design collection, cleaning, transformation, and analysis of large datasets to identify patterns and insights.
• Develop and implement data-driven solutions using LLMs including preparation, deployment, fine-tuning, evaluation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate LLM capabilities into products and decision processes.
• Support architectural governance and sustainable development practices.
• Assist in designing predictive analytics models and large-scale data analytics projects.
