Job summary

Statera Systems Solutions LLC is seeking an AWS Database Architect to design, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-native database solutions in AWS for high availability, security, and performance in enterprise settings.

The role is 100% onsite in Washington, DC, working Monday through Friday with standard office hours. You will leverage AWS managed services (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB) and IaC tools to deliver scalable data platforms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of database engineering or DBA experience.
• Active Security Clearance.
• Hands-on with Amazon RDS and/or Aurora.
• Proficient in PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQL Server.
• Scripting in Python or Bash.
• Familiar with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CDK).

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure, and highly available AWS database architectures.
• Deploy and manage RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB in AWS.
• Perform performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Implement backup, recovery, and DR strategies.
• Automate provisioning with IaC (Terraform, AWS CDK).
• Monitor with CloudWatch and Performance Insights.
• Maintain architecture and operational documentation.
