Job summary

ThreatLocker, a global cybersecurity leader based in Orlando, FL, seeks a Windows Service Developer to design, implement, and optimize high-performance background services in C#/.NET with a focus on Windows OS internals. You will work on threat protection components defending endpoints from inside the system.

The role requires deep Windows architecture knowledge, secure coding practices, and performance optimization, collaborating with system internals, file systems, and network layers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in C#/.NET Framework and .NET Core with asynchronous programming and multithreading.
• Strong understanding of Windows internals: services, registry, process lifecycle, kernel-level concepts.
• Solid grasp of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS) and firewall-level filtering.
• Hands-on experience with debugging and profiling tools (WinDbg, Process Monitor).
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Windows Services in C#/.NET with focus on security and reliability.
• Work with Windows APIs, file systems, and network layers.
• Implement security features such as privilege control and data protection.
• Diagnose performance, memory, and concurrency issues in services.
• Collaborate across teams to meet security and compliance standards.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain a clean codebase.
