Job summary

First Call Security Innovations LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled Security Cable Installation Technician to join our growing team. You will install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (coax, Cat5e/Cat6, fiber), mount cameras and access control hardware, and read blueprints and schematics to support reliable security systems.

Candidates should have 1+ years of wiring experience, familiarity with CCTV and intrusion alarms, and the ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in low-voltage cabling or security systems.
• Familiarity with CCTV, access control, and intrusion alarm systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and cable testing equipment.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling including coax, Cat5e/Cat6, and fiber optic lines.
• Run and route cables through walls, ceilings, conduit, and other structures in residential and commercial settings.
• Mount and connect security cameras, access control panels, alarm systems, and related hardware.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system schematics.
• Troubleshoot and repair existing security cable infrastructure and system connections.
• Coordinate with project managers and other technicians to ensure timely job completion.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site in compliance with safety standards.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check as required for security industry work
