Job summary

Goddard Riverside seeks a Security Worker to monitor entry points, ensure visitors sign in, and keep accurate counts of people in their facilities. You will work with the Program Coordinator to uphold safety protocols and respond to incidents as needed.

The position runs during the Beacon program season, with hours on weekdays 6pm–10pm and weekends 3pm–10pm, up to 35 hours per week, payable at $25 per hour.

Organization Overview:

The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies that support services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. Program Description:

Beacon Community Centers are in public schools throughout New York City and serve youth from kindergarten through age 21 and adults ages 22 and older, including Older Adults. Beacons operate year-round on non-school hours, weekdays, evenings, weekends and in the summer as a resource to the entire community by offering integrated programming tailored to local needs. During the summer, Beacons collaborate with the New York City Public Schools for the Summer Rising initiative.

Schedule:

Weekdays and Weekends, July 1, 2026, through August 28, 2026. Hours: Flexible 6pm-10pm Weekdays; Sat-Sun 3pm-10pm up to 35 hours per week.
