Signal of Orlando is seeking a Branch Patrol Supervisor (Armed) for the overnight shift. The role requires full-time commitment with weekend availability and involves leading security officers, conducting trainings, and ensuring coverage across sites.

Responsibilities

  • Performs training at a variety of sites.
  • Oversees security officer’s adherence to policy and performance standards.
  • Ensures all shifts are filled and resolves vacancies by covering sites or finding coverage.
  • Displays knowledge of each site including patrol routes.
  • Supervises and monitors officer communication and hourly reports.
  • Addresses minor vehicle issues that may be encountered.
  • Documents all security officer related issues for management.
  • Conducts nightly site visits and creates detailed reports with action points.
  • Interacts with clients in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Evaluates schedules and time off requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position:Branch Patrol Supervisor [Armed]

Schedule:Full time (Weekend Availability Required)

Shift/s:Overnight shift [7:00pm - 07:00am]

(Detailed shifts start and end time will be discussed during the in-person interview)

Pay Rate: $20/hour

Requirements
  • ARMED APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN GEAR- duty belt, level 3 holster, vest and firearm - please be prepared to bring all gear (with the exception of the firearm to your interview)
  • Must have aVALID Driver's license
  • Must have a G license in the state of Florida
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Able to read, speak, and write in English
  • Working smartphone that can download and use apps (not provided applicants must have and be able to use their own)
  • All officers must be confident and comfortable with verbal de-escalation.

Patrol officers must be able to hit 30-50 stops a night and have good time management skills. Patrol officers must be ALERT, engaged and proactive. Officers must be able to conduct a variety of vehicle AND foot patrols, complete 30-50+ reports including explanations of observations and photos, respond to dispatch calls, interact with activity and individuals on property and monitor actively for unusual activity on multiple sites.

Additional Position Summary

A Signal Patrol Officer role encompasses all dedicated requirements but varies from the below in a faster pace, time management and performing randomized but planned patrols of multiple sites throughout the shift. All duties listed below are minimum requirements – additional duties listed in the site’s Post Orders are requirements as well.

  • Operating security technology; and
  • In the case of a Patrol Officer or Dedicated vehicle post: driving a patrol vehicle on a scheduled patrol cycle for specific durations with limited idle times.
Position Summary

A Signal Branch Patrol Supervisor provides functional leadership to Signal’s Community Based Security Officers through the development and implementation of policies and practices essential to the effective management of day-to-day operations. Basic duties include protecting all sites and managing all reporting officers. All duties listed below are minimum requirements, additional site-specific duties may be required.

  • Financial Acumen: Understanding company measurements while executing the necessary behaviors to drive performance. Can you identify and communicate potential hiring needs to your Ops Coordinator as well as participate in the interview and onboarding process.
  • Team Development: Communicate with Clients, Team Members and Management effectively and in a timely manner, receiving and relaying feedback and executing follow up as needed. Can you create an environment of openness, trust and respect while coaching and developing Advanced and Patrol Officer’s performance?
  • Project Management: Complete understanding and execution of daily tasks and efficiently delivering services that meet the needs of the business.Can you complete your daily assigned tasks with the additional responsibility of reviewing the activity and incident reports of Advanced and Patrol Officers?
Responsibilities
  • Coach, monitor, and develop accountability for the individual performance of the Advanced Patrol Officer and Patrol Officer’s to align with company standards ie. patrol completion, report writing, etc..
  • Leads the Branch Manager Daily Scrum to communicate all service, property, post order, and routing changes.
  • Schedules and conducts spot checks with officers under their supervision, providing feedback, accountability, and recognition as needed.
  • Promptly and consistently report any client specific information or issues to the Coordinator, while helping to execute and provide resolutions to any client issues or concerns.
  • Participate in the hiring process, interviewing candidates, and setting up orientation dates and times. Communicate regularly with the Coordinator throughout the hiring process.
  • Responsible for equipment inventory and maintenance including uniforms, vehicles, devices, phones, etc. while communicating needs and issues to their Coordinator.
  • Participating in a performance review during recommended time frames with the Coordinator to enhance the Officer Brand Experience.
  • Responsible for ensuring schedule is complete to fulfill contracted services and will cover shifts as necessary to ensure completion while minimizing overtime.
  • Responsible for recommending and issuing disciplinary action for personnel in violation of the Signal Standard Operating Procedures. Furthermore, providing positive recognition for personnel going above and beyond the Signal expectations.
  • Communicate with the Coordinator in the Weekly Coordinator Meeting to review weekly score card, route reviews, operation priorities, and all client related issues.

  • Must be able to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Complete training modules within first month
