Job summary

Rio Hotel & Casino Las Vegas is seeking a Security Bike Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and property within a designated area. You will patrol on a bicycle, deter threats, respond to alarms and emergencies, and document incidents in written or electronic reports.

The role requires strong observation, excellent customer service, calmness under pressure, and the ability to interact professionally with the public and staff.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on professionalism and positive client interactions.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or public safety preferred.
• Ability to ride a bicycle for extended periods and in various weather conditions.
• Good physical condition, stamina, and balance.
• Strong verbal communication and conflict-resolution skills; ability to remain alert under pressure.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas via bicycle, ensuring a high-visibility security presence
• Respond rapidly to calls for service, alarms, disturbances, medical emergencies, or suspicious activity
• Observe and report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or security concerns
• Enforce organizational policies, procedures, and access control measures
• Interact with the public, staff, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Provide safety escorts, assist with lost persons, and support crowd control as needed
• Accurately document incidents and daily activities in written or electronic reports
• Monitor and report suspicious behavior, criminal activity, or unauthorized access
• Ensure bicycle and safety gear are maintained in good working order
• Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, solution-oriented approach
• Collaborate with other officers, law enforcement, or emergency responders as needed
