You will be the technical authority on security, backend systems architecture, and trusted computing for our global payments platform. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll define our security posture, architect critical backend systems, and ensure operational excellence from day one.

You will be the technical authority on security, backend systems architecture, and trusted computing for our global payments platform. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll define our security posture, architect critical backend systems, and ensure operational excellence from day one.

What You’ll Do

Security Leadership & Architecture

• Define and execute Stable Sea’s product and infrastructure security strategy.
• Lead design and implementation of secure backend systems, with emphasis on trusted computing, encryption and data integrity.
• Oversee threat modeling, security reviews, and penetration testing for critical payment and treasury workflows.
• Implement centralized identity, access, and policy control across multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, hybrid deployments).

Backend & Platform Architecture

• Architect and scale backend systems supporting real-time cross-border transactions, integrating with both blockchain and traditional payment rails.
• Drive adoption of modern security-first engineering practices, policy engine integration, zero trust networking, E2EE strategies.
• Build and maintain high-availability infrastructure for mission-critical financial services.
• Oversee decommissioning, migration, and cloud resource lifecycle management with precision and auditability.

Cross-Functional Impact

• Partner with engineering, compliance, and product teams to balance velocity with uncompromising security.
• Represent security metrics, strategy, and roadmap to the executive team and board.
• Mentor engineers, fostering a culture where security is an enabler, not a blocker.

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years in backend engineering, security architecture, and infrastructure leadership roles.
• Proven track record designing and securing large-scale financial platforms or similarly high-risk systems.
• Deep expertise in cloud security (AWS/GCP), backend architecture, and trusted computing environments.
• Hands-on experience with SSO, encryption frameworks, device identity, and secure data flows.
• Experience leading incident response for P0 security vulnerabilities in production environments.
• Strong software engineering skills in backend languages (Java, Kotlin, Go, Rust).
• Bonus: Experience with blockchain payment systems, stablecoins, or decentralized financial services.
