Job summary

State of Maryland's Spring Grove Hospital Center in Catonsville, MD is seeking a Maryland Approved Security Attendant Officer. This full-time role will implement crime scene procedures, retain evidence, and prepare investigative reports, collaborating with STIU officers and state police.

Requirements include a high school diploma and at least one year of security experience protecting patients, inmates, or youths in secured facilities.

Qualifications

• Education requirement defined by the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission regulations.
• One year of security experience protecting patients, or inmates or youths in psychiatric hospitals, correctional/correctional facilities, or juvenile detention centers.
• U.S. Armed Forces service may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis in certain security classifications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Maryland Approved Security Attendant Officer.
• Implement crime scene procedures and evidence retention.
• Complete comprehensive investigative reports and liaise with Maryland State Police and STIU officers.
