Guidehouse in McLean, VA is seeking a Security Assessor to conduct security and privacy control assessments for public-sector systems. You will evaluate control effectiveness, validate evidence, and help produce SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms under supervision of a Senior Security Assessor.

The role emphasizes assessment execution and documentation with opportunities to learn more about security engineering, automation, and AI-enabled compliance. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Three years in security control assessments or audits.
• Experience documenting SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms and assessment artifacts.
• Understanding of risk-based assessment concepts and NIST SP 800-53 controls.

Responsibilities

Candidates should demonstrate curiosity and interest in expanding their skillset toward security engineering, automation, and emerging AI‐enabled approaches to compliance and assessment activities.
