Job summary

Baseten seeks an experienced Security Engineer to strengthen security across our ML infrastructure platform. You will help design secure systems, manage vulnerabilities, and lead incident response, IAM, and compliance initiatives while collaborating with engineering and operations teams.

You will shape Baseten's security posture from the ground up, implementing security as code and enabling a security-first culture across product engineering and deployments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Security Engineer or similar role.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS/GCP) and container security.
• Hands-on with security tooling and scripting to automate tasks.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
• Incident response expertise including forensics.

Responsibilities

• Security architecture and design across cloud environments and containers.
• Lead vulnerability management and remediation efforts.
• Develop and maintain incident response processes.
• Oversee IAM strategies and access controls.
• Ensure security compliance and support audits and policy creation.
• Develop and deliver security training programs and documentation.
• Partner with DevOps to embed security into CI/CD.
