Job summary

A global inventory and data services organization is seeking a Security Architect in Plano, TX. This role requires strong cloud security expertise and aims to shape the ongoing security function. Responsibilities include designing security architecture across various environments, partnering with DevOps teams, and leading threat modeling initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a senior-level background in security engineering. Compensation ranges from $135K to $145K, plus bonus.

Qualifications

• Strong background in cloud security (Azure and/or AWS).
• Experience with infrastructure and application security.
• Hands-on experience with SAST/DAST tools and secure SDLC practices.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams.
• Prior experience in a senior-level security engineering or DevSecOps role.
• Understanding of threat modeling, risk management, and security frameworks.

We’re partnering with a global inventory and data services organization that supports major retail and enterprise clients, and they are looking to bring on a Security Architect to help build and shape their growing security function.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently in a Senior Security Engineer or DevSecOps role who is ready to step into a more strategic, architecture-focused position.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design and implement security architecture across cloud and infrastructure environments (Azure, AWS, and on-prem)
• Partner closely with engineering and DevOps teams to embed security best practices
• Lead and contribute to threat modeling and risk assessments
• Support and enhance application security initiatives (SAST/DAST)
• Evaluate, implement, and optimize security tools and controls
• Help define and drive the organization’s overall security strategy and roadmap

What We’re Looking For:
