We can't predict what the future holds, but we know Texas Instruments will have a part in shaping it.

We’re seeking an exceptional Senior Cybersecurity Architect to serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert driving enterprise-wide security architecture initiatives. This role combines deep hands-on architecture work with technical leadership and mentorship. You’ll lead transformational programs like Zero Trust Architecture while elevating the capabilities of our engineering teams through knowledge sharing and collaborative problem-solving.

This is an individual contributor role for someone who wants to work in some of the most complex technical domains solving challenges while shaping the next generation of security talent.

Responsibilities this architect will own:

  • Lead design and implementation of key enterprise strategies such as Zero Trust Architecture across all security pillars: identity, device, network, application, and data protection
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive security architecture patterns, reference architectures, and design standards
  • Conduct threat modeling and security architecture reviews for critical systems, applications, and infrastructure changes
  • Design security solutions that balance business requirements, risk tolerance, and operational feasibility
  • Translate security requirements from compliance frameworks and business needs into actionable technical architectures
  • Evaluate and architect integration of security technologies across the enterprise stack
  • Lead complex technical investigations and provide authoritative guidance on security architecture decisions
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, and development teams to embed security into solution designs
  • Drive innovation in security architecture through research, proof-of-concepts, and adoption of emerging technologies
  • Mentor junior and mid-level security engineers and architects in security design principles, threat modeling methodologies, and architecture best practices
  • Provide technical coaching through architecture reviews, design discussions, and hands-on problem solving
  • Help foster a culture of technical excellence through knowledge sharing, documentation, and peer learning
  • Serve as a technical escalation point and subject matter expert for complex security challenges
  • Drive AI-augmented security assessments — leveraging AI tooling to accelerate architecture reviews, threat discovery, and pattern analysis
  • Research emerging attack surfaces and translate findings into architecture improvements and control updates
  • Demonstrated experience treating security architecture as an engineering discipline — measurable process improvement, automation, and tooling ownership

What will set you apart:

  • Experience with OT/ICS security architecture and industrial control systems security frameworks
  • Background in semiconductor manufacturing, critical infrastructure, or highly regulated industries
  • Experience with security architecture in hybrid cloud environments
  • Contributions to security communities: published research, conference presentations, open-source security projects
  • Demonstrated use of AI/LLM tools in security engineering workflows (threat modeling, code review, policy generation)
  • Familiarity with AI security engineering concepts: prompt injection, model risk, agentic attack surfaces, OWASP LLM Top 10
Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering or related technical field
  • 8+ years of experience in security architecture
  • Demonstrated experience leading threat modeling activities for complex, multi-domain enterprise systems, including data flow analysis, trust boundary mapping, and application of methodologies such as STRIDE and PASTA

Preferred qualifications:

  • Key cybersecurity certifications (E.g., CISSP, GIAC GDSA, SABSA, CCSP, etc.)
  • Demonstrate commitment to high standards of ethics and values, regulatory compliance, and business integrity
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
