Job summary

Jetro Restaurant Depot in Flemington, NJ is seeking a Security & Logistics Coordinator to safeguard the facility and manage inbound truck flow. Based in an outdoor guard shack at the entrance, you will control site access, verify shipments, and coordinate with drivers and internal teams to ensure safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

You will log inbound loads, communicate with warehouse, dispatch, and operations to prioritize loads, and respond to security incidents following established protocols.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in security or logistics preferred.
• Prior experience in security, truck gate operations, or logistics coordination strongly preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with logistics tracking systems (TMS/WMS experience a plus).
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or emergency situations.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and truck yard safety procedures is an asset.

Physical Requirements

• Must have the ability to talk and hear; must be able to hear warning horns on moving machinery and equipment.
• Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include close and distance vision, depth perception, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must exhibit a high level of endurance, energy, and strength to successfully perform position.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods in a guard shack environment.
• Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. (e.g., moving barricades, handling packages).
• Visual acuity to read documents, verify identification, and monitor surroundings.
• Manual dexterity for operating radios, phones, and computer equipment.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, an operator regularly works near moving mechanical apparatus and is regularly exposed to vibration and moderate to high noise levels. The primary work location is an outdoor guard shack at the facility entrance. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions year-round is expected. Role will have frequent interaction with truck drivers, visitors, and internal staff. May be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on operational needs. This role involves both independent work and frequent communication with other departments.
