This role focuses on evaluating and improving cybersecurity postures for clients through hands-on penetration testing and vulnerability assessments. You will simulate attacks on networks, applications, APIs, and devices, helping organizations identify and remediate security gaps. The position blends technical expertise with client-facing communication, requiring high-quality reporting, executive briefings, and translating complex security concepts for non-technical stakeholders. You will also collaborate with incident response teams and contribute to the development of security best practices. The role offers exposure to evolving cyber threats, diverse technology stacks, and opportunities to participate in professional security communities and conferences. Accountabilities
  • Conduct penetration tests across networks, web applications, APIs, wireless systems, and social engineering campaigns.
  • Produce high-quality technical reports and peer-review colleagues’ work for accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop executive briefings and present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Managed Services and incident response teams to address client needs and triage alerts.
  • Translate complex technical issues into actionable recommendations for clients.
  • Participate in industry conferences, professional organizations, and ongoing training to maintain expertise.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of hands-on technical security experience.
  • Proficiency with modern penetration testing tools, methods, and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of network, web-based application, and wireless security concepts (IEEE 802.11).
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and UNIX systems, as well as the Internet protocol suite.
  • Experience with interpreted languages (Python, Ruby, PHP) and familiarity with compiled languages (Java, C/C++, Assembly).
  • Knowledge of social engineering tactics and methods.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant certifications such as GPEN, CPTS, or OSCP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and ask for guidance when needed.
