Job summary

nuHarbor in Burlington, VT is looking for a Security Analyst to join the Managed Services Security Operations team. You will monitor client environments, triage alerts, and conduct investigations from initial finding to disposition and client/escalation within SLA.

This is an individual contributor role with a Sunday–Wednesday night shift (12:00am–10:30am ET). Candidates should have 2+ years with Splunk Enterprise Security, CrowdStrike Falcon, and/or Microsoft Sentinel and be authorized to work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or two years of related experience with certifications.
• Two years’ experience with Splunk Enterprise Security, CrowdStrike Falcon, and/or Microsoft Sentinel.
• Ability to explain simple hardening methods for network and process detections.
• Familiarity with endpoint security best practices.
• Demonstrated knowledge of incident response concepts and procedures.
• Understanding of security technologies to mitigate cyber risks.
• Understanding of common network services and attacks against them.
• Previous experience in technical support or security-focused role.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Analyze security alerts, events, and trends and communicate the value of NuHarbor services to clients.
• Perform alert triage, classification, disposition, and escalation within SLA requirements.
• Conduct investigations independently, escalating when findings exceed scope.
• Execute containment and response actions on client endpoints and tooling.
• Document each ticket with an evidence trail and disposition rationale.
• Generate reports to nuHarbor standards and schedules.
• Develop and improve documentation.
• Identify and scope opportunities for process improvements.
• Flag noisy or broken detections for review.
