Anticipated End Date: 2026-09-25 Position Title: Security Analyst III - Identity and Access Management (Wellpoint Federal)

Location

This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. Responsibilities

The Security Analyst III - Identity and Access Management (Wellpoint Federal) will be responsible for providing enterprise security solutions for business, regulatory, and legal requirements, and assuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.

How you will make an impact

• Day-to day execution and processing of mainframe security and access management requests, ensuring timeliness and compliance standards are met, with internal and external customers.
• Management of user accounts, including privileged, service, shared, emergency, and non-person accounts in accordance with security and audit requirements.
• Create, update, and maintain necessary supporting/procedural documentation.
• Support other Identity and Access Management activities as assigned.
• Participates and completes tasks associated with the implementations for systems and network security technologies.
• Executes testing plans.
• Coordinates and prepares reporting of data security events and incidents.
• Provides system and network architecture support.
• Provides technical support to business and technology associates.
• Provides trouble resolution on complex issues.
• Performs system and network upgrade tasks.
• Designs and analyzes vendor services and information security requirements.
• Maintains relationship with key vendors.
• Participates and completes lights-on initiatives to consolidate equipment and/or implement business relocations.
• Performs complex configuration changes to meet business and information security requirements.
• Performs capacity analysis.
• Recommends and implements capacity increases.
• Responds to Level 3 and 4 change and problem requests.
• Leads Level 1 and 2 incident recoveries and root cause analysis.

Minimum Requirements

Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a support and operations or design and engineering role; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. This position is part of our Wellpoint Federal division which, per CMS TDL 190275, requires foreign national applicants meet the residency requirement of living in the United States at least three of the past five years.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences

• Experience with RACF and similar mainframe user identity management strongly preferred.
• Experience in government, healthcare, or similar highly regulated environments preferred.
• Knowledge or hands on experience with Medicare claims processing systems (i.e. Fiscal Intermediary Shared System (FISS) or Multi-Carrier System (MCS), and CMS identity management processes and systems highly desired.
• Experience using IT service management and governance platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, or comparable request, approval, and ticketing systems preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret and understand access control policies, system authorization boundaries, and technical security requirements preferred.
• Understanding and knowledge of IAM principles for On-premise and cloud services (AWS/Azure) strongly preferred.
• Experience administering directory and identity platforms such as Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft EntraID, LDAP, Okta, SailPoint, or comparable technologies preferred.
• Working knowledge and familiarity with common security implementation frameworks (NIST, ISO, HIPAA, FedRAMP, etc.)
• Zero Trust principles and and similar risk management preferred.
