Job summary

Centre Technologies is expanding its Security Operations team and seeking a Security Analyst with cybersecurity experience to monitor, analyze, and respond to security events for clients in a dynamic MSP environment.

You will be the first line of defense, identifying breaches, escalating incidents, and helping keep clients secure and compliant while supporting security awareness programs and playbooks in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of cybersecurity, SOC, or information security experience.
• Familiarity with attack techniques, endpoint protection, malware behavior, and cloud defense strategies.
• Experience using SIEM platforms, writing queries, and analyzing alerts.
• Awareness of AI security risks and best practices for securing AI-driven systems.
• Experience automating repetitive tasks and scripting for analysis or reporting.
• Familiarity with log analysis and query languages.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and tune security tools to identify vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
• Monitor, analyze, and gather data for security events, alerts, and incidents.
• Escalate potential breaches and act as incident commander for assigned companies.
• Contribute to security and compliance initiatives (CMMC, PCI, HIPAA).
• Support security awareness campaigns and phishing defense programs.
• Recommend improvements to tools, processes, and playbooks and coordinate with vCIO.
• Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Assist with proactive threat hunting and detection of suspicious activities.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Security Analyst to join our Security Operations team. This role is ideal for someone with prior cybersecurity experience who is ready to take ownership of monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events in a dynamic MSP environment. You will be the first line of defense in identifying potential breaches, escalating incidents, and ensuring our clients remain secure and compliant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and tune security tools to identify vulnerabilities, anomalous activities, and misconfigurations
• Monitor, analyze, and gather data for security events, alerts, and incidents to identify threats and anomalies
• Escalate potential breaches and act as incident commander for your assigned companies
• Contribute to security and compliance initiatives (CMMC, PCI, HIPAA)
• Support security awareness campaigns and phishing defense programs
• Recommend improvements to tools, processes, and playbooks and coordinate with vCIO

Education/Experience/Certifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks

• Preferred Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CySA+, GSEC, or similar
