Job summary

Shamrock Trading Corporation is seeking a Security Analyst to monitor alerts from security tools, coordinate with teams, and address emerging cyber threats. The role emphasizes alert triage, incident response, and risk assessment across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.

  • Experience with security tools and incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze security logs, alerts, and network traffic to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Respond to phishing incidents and determine potential threats.
  • Configure security software including antivirus and vulnerability scanners.
  • Continuously monitor networks and systems for breaches and investigate security events.
  • Review vulnerability scans and rank threats by potential impact.
  • Prepare reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and trends and educate staff.

About the Role

Shamrock Trading Corporation is looking for Security Analyst. This individual will monitor alerts created by security tools to help detect any breaches or intrusions on the network. They will be responsible for working with individuals and groups throughout the company to resolve alerts and elevate the alerts to security team members when necessary. Must stay informed about emerging cyber threats and trends to address potential risks of incoming alerts.

What You’ll Do
  • Analyze security logs, alerts and network traffic to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Respond to user reported phishing emails to identify potential threats.
  • Configure security software including antivirus and vulnerability scanning agents.
  • Continuously monitor networks and systems for security breaches and investigate any incidents or suspicious activities.
  • Review vulnerability scans to determine the potential impact of security threats and prioritize security efforts.
  • Prepare reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities,, and threat trends.
  • Educate employees about security policies and procedures, and promote security awareness within the organization.
What You’ll Bring
  • Strong understanding of computer networks, operating systems, and security technologies.
  • Experience with security tools and technologies, including antivirus, intrusion detection systems, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Knowledge of common attack vectors, malware, and threat intelligence.
  • Ability to analyze security logs and identify suspicious activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate security incidents and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to assess risks and vulnerabilities, and prioritize security efforts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise security reports and communicate findings to management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
  • Relevant security certifications such as Security+ are preferred.
