Job summary

Acrisure in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a security-focused Incident Response professional to triage requests, respond to alerts, investigate incidents, and coordinate with the Security Operations team.

You will help contain threats, document actions, and stay current with industry trends while supporting cross-functional partners. An on-site presence is required to collaborate with teams and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent work experience.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networking, and cloud services.
• Experience with ITMS workflows and delivering high customer satisfaction.
• Ability to interpret security standards and frameworks (NIST, 800-53, CIS, SOX, ISO-27001).

Responsibilities

• Triage service requests from internal stakeholders and agency partners to ensure responsive incident handling.
• Respond to security alerts and incidents in global IT systems.
• Investigate incidents and anomalies to determine scope, impact, and root causes.
• Collaborate with Security Operations to assess urgency and coordinate responses.
• Contain, eradicate, and recover from incidents to minimize impact.
• Document actions taken during incident response for future analysis.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and keep them informed during incident response.
• Stay updated on industry trends to inform defense of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Triage service requests from internal stakeholders and agency partners to ensure the responsive resolution of incidents and handling of requests.
• Respond to security alerts and incidents in global IT systems.
• Conduct investigations of security incidents and anomalies to determine the scope, impact, and root causes.
• Collaborate with the Security Operations team to assess the urgency of each alert, as necessary.
• Perform incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery, to minimize the impact of security incidents.
• Document all actions taken during incident response process for future analysis and improvement.
• Coordinate with stakeholders during the incident response process, keeping them informed about the progress and involving them in decision-making.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and the IT industry more broadly to inform the defense of the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR equivalent work experience
• Thorough understanding of IT infrastructure technologies, including hardware, software, networking, and cloud services.
• Experience working within ITMS workflows while delivering high customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrated expertise in how various platforms and technologies integrate to create comprehensive solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with colleagues and understand their business needs.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and apply common security standards and frameworks such as NIST, 800-53, CIS, SOX, and ISO-27001.
• Experience with security technologies including, SentinelOne, Abnormal Security, Microsoft Suite, Rapid7 IVM, ServiceNow, Google SecOps, etc.
• Experience with the Microsoft Security suite including Defender and Purview applications
• Solid understanding of major operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux)
• Experience with IT infrastructure, networking, and software solutions.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
