Job summary

GardaWorld Security is seeking a Tactical Security Officer to monitor environments, detect risks, and act decisively across diverse sites including retail spaces and airports. The role emphasizes physical readiness, vigilance, and adhering to security protocols while undergoing background checks and potential travel across DC/MD/VA.

You will patrol, verify identities, respond to threats, and coordinate with law enforcement as needed, with uniform provided and opportunities for career growth

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or GED required
• Able to pass extensive screening process
• First aid certification is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience is a plus
• State license if required

What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk, and act accordingly. Tell us about how your keen sense of observation is one of your greatest strengths.

As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

What’s In It For You

• Site Location: DC, Maryland, Virgina
• Set schedule: Open availability for scheduling required for weekdays and weekends (Mornings, Evenings, and Overnights). Must be able to travel through DC, MD, and VA, Must be able to pass various background checks depending on site needs. This is a flex schedule not able to guarentee full time, however flexibility to work at more than one site can help increase the amount of hours given to new hires. Sites will consist of various settings with the main focus being on Bank settings.
• Competitive hourly wage of $22.85 to 26.00 / HR (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!)

Qualifications Of Tactical Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• First aid certification is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• You have a state license if required
• Responsible for visiting various sites
• Ensure all officer are working the post to standard and in correct uniform
• Must be comfortable traveling through DC, MD, VA
• Must be able to pass Various Background check based on site needs
