Job summary

Mariner Sands Country Club Inc. is seeking a part-time security guard to help protect the community and property. The role reports to the Director of Security and includes controlling access, patrolling grounds, and performing related duties to prevent loss or damage.

Responsibilities include screening visitors and contractors, recording license plates, issuing passes, and maintaining logs. Weekend/evening availability is required, and a Florida Driver’s License is preferred alongside CPR

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Florida Driver’s License in good standing.
• CPR certified preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies authorization for access for employees, contractors, visitors, and guests and issues passes.
• Directs guests, visitors, and contractors to relevant areas of the community.
• Records license plate numbers of vehicles entering the property.
• Performs housekeeping and maintenance duties at gatehouse and on patrol vehicles.
• Issues and receives keys following SOPs.
• Monitors Security Monitoring System and responds to alarms.
• Completes all logs, reports, and records.
• Promotes good rapport with owners and/or members.
• Performs mobile and foot patrols and records incidents and equipment issues.
• Answers telephone, verifies IDs, and records daily access information.

Summary

Reports to Director of Security. Guards against fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned.

Verifies authorization for access to allow entrance or exit of employees, contractors, visitors, and guests and issues appropriate to pass.

Directs guests, visitors, and contractors to various parts of the community.

Records license plate number of vehicles entering the property.

Performs general housekeeping and maintenance duties at gatehouse and on patrol vehicles.

Issue and receive keys according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Monitors Security Monitoring System and responds to security alarms.

Completes all logs, reports, and records.

Promotes good rapport with owners and/or members.

Performs mobile and foot patrols of the community. Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment.

Answers telephone, verifies Personal Identification code, and records daily access information.
