Job summary

Overture Partners is seeking an Administrator to support identity and access management across a complex enterprise technology environment. The role focuses on accurate user provisioning, access modifications, terminations, security administration, and remediation of access risks across Windows, UNIX, databases and business applications.

Ideal candidates have hands-on Active Directory experience, IAM or security administration background, and a track record of following security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administer user identities and access rights across AD, Windows, UNIX/Linux, databases, and enterprise apps.
• Provision, modify, and remove accounts per approved requests and procedures.
• Onboard, transfers, rename, role changes, and offboard users while preserving access controls.
• Review access requests for completeness and authorization per security policies.
• Create and maintain AD groups, permissions, ACLs, and access groups.
• Resolve access issues: password resets, lockouts, expirations, MFA challenges.
• Support access certifications, entitlement reviews, audits, and security assessments.
• Assist with secure file transfers, service access, server reviews, remediations.
• Collaborate with teams on IAM projects and document procedures for audit readiness.

Job Overview

We are seeking an Administrator to support identity and access management activities across a complex enterprise technology environment. This is an immediate need focused on accurate user provisioning, access modifications, terminations, security administration, and remediation of identified access risks across Windows, UNIX, database, and business application environments.

Candidates most likely to secure an interview will have hands‑on Active Directory experience, at least one year of security administration or IAM experience, and a strong record of following documented security procedures. Success requires exceptional attention to detail, discretion with sensitive information, and the ability to work effectively in an audit‑and compliance‑focused environment.

Must Haves

• 1+ years of professional experience in security administration, identity and access management (IAM), or user access administration.


• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Active Directory, including account creation, group membership, permissions, modifications, and access removal.


• Experience performing user provisioning and de‑provisioning, including onboarding, transfers, account changes, and offboarding.


• Working knowledge of Windows and UNIX/Linux environments and familiarity with enterprise database platforms such as SQL and DB2.


• Experience supporting authentication and authorization controls, including multifactor authentication and application access.


• Strong understanding of security policies, access controls, confidentiality requirements, and audit expectations.


• Demonstrated ability to follow established procedures carefully while managing multiple requests and priorities.


• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience.

What the Client Needs You to Do

The client needs a detail‑oriented security professional who can help maintain appropriate access across enterprise systems while reducing security and compliance risk. You will work closely with security colleagues, technology teams, business stakeholders, and audit functions to ensure employees receive the access required for their responsibilitiesand that access is promptly changed or removed when appropriate.

This role requires disciplined execution. Requests must be validated against established security standards before changes are made, and activities must be documented clearly enough to support internal reviews and access‑certification processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer user identities and access rights across Active Directory, Windows, UNIX/Linux, database platforms, and enterprise applications.


• Provision, modify, and remove network, application, email, and system accounts based on approved requests and established procedures.


• Process employee onboarding, transfers, name or username changes, role changes, and offboarding activities while maintaining accurate access controls.


• Review access requests for completeness, appropriate authorization, and alignment with information security policies before implementation.


• Create and maintain Active Directory groups, server‑folder permissions, access control lists (ACLs), and application or database access groups.


• Resolve access‑related support requests involving passwords, account lockouts, expirations, authentication failures, and multifactor authentication.


• Support periodic user‑access certifications, entitlement reviews, security assessments, and internal or external audit activities.


• Assist with secure file‑transfer configurations, service access requirements, server reviews, and remediation of identified security risks.


• Collaborate with technology, security, risk, and business teams on enterprise projects requiring identity, authentication, authorization, or access‑control expertise.


• Develop and maintain security administration documentation, procedures, and operational processes to promote consistent execution and audit readiness.

Additional Information

This position operates within a security‑sensitive environment where inappropriate access can create significant operational, compliance, and information‑security risk. The successful candidate must be comfortable handling confidential information and consistently applying established security policies and procedures.

Experience with Active Directory administration tools is beneficial. Additional exposure to AIX, DB2, SQL, Windows Server, Linux, SFTP administration, ACL management, and multifactor authentication technologies is highly relevant.

The role may participate in broader information security initiatives, including evaluating technology requirements, reviewing proposed system changes, identifying access‑related risks, and helping teams implement security best practices.

Candidates should be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively while balancing multiple requests and deadlines. Depending on operational requirements, participation in an after‑hours or weekend on‑call rotation may be required for access‑related issues.
