Live Nation Entertainment is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to safeguard venues from the parking lot through the main building. The role involves standing for long periods in a loud environment, bag searches, and using security wands. A CT State Security Guard Card is required before the first shift.

Qualifications

• CT State Security Guard Card is required.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience interacting with people in a positive environment.
• Ability to work late hours and maintain a flexible schedule.
• Must be physically capable of lifting/moving up to 25 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Ensure guest safety through proactive personal interaction and hazard removal.
• Prevent and resolve altercations among guests.
• Lead guests and staff in emergency evacuation procedures and provide assistance.
• Maintain area control by patrolling the venue during shifts.
• Check IDs for guests who appear under 30 who are consuming alcohol.
• Inspect guests with metal detectors or pat-downs to prevent weapons entry.
• Enforce policies on photos/videos/recording devices.
• Help prevent theft and protect property.
• Communicate clearly using radios, signals, and flashlights.
• Stay in constant contact with team throughout shift.
• Set up area before opening and ensure clean, safe venue conditions.

THE JOB

You will be responsible for securing the premises from the parking lot throughout the whole building. The role entails standing for long periods of time, being in a loud environment, bag searching, using security walk throughs and security wands. You MUST have a CT State Security Guard Card - if you do not have one while applying you must obtain one before your first shift.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

• Ensure guest safety through proactive personal interaction and removing hazards in the area of responsibility
• Prevent and resolve altercations among guests
• Lead guests and other employees in emergency evacuation procedures and provide assistance
• Maintain control by circulating through your work area throughout the shift
• Check identification of any guest who appears to be under 30 years of age who is drinking alcoholic beverages inside the venue
• Ensure that no weapons or harmful items enter the venue by inspecting every guest with a metal detector or pat-down search
• Enforce House policy regarding photos/videos/recording devices
• Safeguard against theft and property damage
• Communicate clearly using radios, hand signals and flashlights.
• Remain in constant contact throughout the shift
• Set up area before opening (stanchions, table configuring, etc.)
• Keep interior and exterior of the venue clear and safe, cleaning spills and removing food, trash or other obstacles, before, during and after the shift
