Job summary

WesBanco Bank Inc. in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Real Estate Valuation Liaison to be the primary contact between those ordering real estate valuations for collateral on commercial loans and the Real Estate Valuation Group.

You will coordinate appraisals, track orders in Appraisal Management Collateral 360, review statuses, and input information into Finance Center while assisting the closing team and reviewers with checklists.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Real Estate Valuation Group and users of Commercial Real Estate appraisal services within the Bank.
  • Track commercial real estate appraisals ordered for the Bank using Appraisal Management Collateral 360 software.
  • Review status of real estate appraisals and communicate issues and information requests.
  • Order and coordinate external Commercial appraisal reviews through our 3rd party vendor.
  • Upload appraisal reviews and inputs information in Finance Center.
  • Assist the closing team and reviewers with completion of checklists in Finance Center.
  • Problem solve or route issues to appropriate staff member.
  • Escalate issues to Team Lead or Department Manager as needed.
  • Communicate with senior and executive management, other bank officers, and vendors.
  • Serve as ambassador for the department when dealing with vendors and other departments and divisions.

SUMMARY:

Responsible for being the primary point of contact between those ordering real estate valuations for property proposed as collateral for commercial loans and the staff of the Real Estate Valuation Group.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as the primary liaison between the Real Estate Valuation Group and those utilizing Commercial Real Estate appraisal services within the Bank.
  • Tracks commercial real estate appraisals ordered on behalf of the Bank using Appraisal Management Collateral 360 software.
  • Reviews status of real estate appraisals and communicates issues and information requests.
  • Orders and coordinates external Commercial appraisal reviews through our 3rd party vendor.
  • Uploads appraisal reviews and inputs information in Finance Center.
  • Assists the closing team and reviewers with completion of checklists in Finance Center.
  • Problem solves or routes issues to appropriate staff member.
  • Escalates issues to Team Lead or Department Manager as needed.
  • Communicates with Senior and Executive Management, other bank officers, and vendors.
  • Serves as ambassador for the department when dealing with vendors and other departments and divisions, reflecting professionalism and efficiency.
  • Continually develops and maintains a basic working knowledge of appraisal rules and regulations,
  • Other duties as assigned.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.

  • Possess clear, concise, effective written and oral communication skills to effectively express thoughts, ideas and concepts to management, bank employees and bank customers in a collaborative and solutions oriented manner.

  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Must be able to manage and safeguard confidential information. Familiarity with Bank Loan Operating systems a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • High school diploma or (GED)
  • Minimum of two years related experience in Commercial Lending field including Commercial Lending processing or Commercial Lending operations.
  • Familiarity with commercial real estate appraisals a plus
  • Familiarity with commercial loan documentation a plus.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret Federal appraisal regulations preferred.
