Job summary

ThreatLocker is seeking a Web API Developer in Orlando to design, develop, and maintain secure RESTful APIs using C#/.NET within a cybersecurity engineering team.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to build reliable endpoints, integrate with SQL Server, and ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and documentation. The role emphasizes secure coding practices and modern .NET tooling.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of professional experience with C#/.NET and ASP.NET Web API or ASP.NET Core.
• Knowledge of the MVC pattern with controllers, models, routing, DI, and middleware.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs using HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON.
• Familiarity with asynchronous programming, logging, and debugging in .NET.
• Hands-on experience using ADO.NET for SQL Server data access.
• Understanding of secure coding practices including authentication and authorization.
• Experience using Git and participating in code reviews.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure RESTful Web APIs using C#/.NET.
• Apply the MVC pattern and separation of concerns when organizing controllers, models, services, and data-access components.
• Implement API endpoints with authentication, authorization, error handling, and logging.
• Integrate APIs with SQL Server and other internal services while considering reliability and performance.
• Diagnose and resolve issues involving API behavior, request processing, concurrency, and data access.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, QA, and other teams to refine requirements and deliver dependable solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement of the codebase and development process.
