Job summary

The DC Army National Guard is seeking a Radio and Communications Security Repairer to maintain equipment and systems that keep units communicating over secure channels. You will install, repair, calibrate, and align circuits and wiring, and perform preventive maintenance on communications gear.

Training begins with Basic and Advanced Individual Training, with paid instruction and tuition assistance; you will gain skills in mechanical, electronic, and electrical principles and access civilian

Qualifications

• Must be at least a junior in high school or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Must meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com for details).
• Requires Army National Guard enlistment. MOS assignment may depend on MOS availability.

Responsibilities

• Use test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment; test program sets and interactive electronic manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
